Update Newest to oldest
The Event had approximately 500 bikes, 6 from Chapter T. The total amount raised at the event was $115,822… Which is a record total!!! Look for a complete article with pictures in the September Newsletter.
First, We would like to thank everyone who has participate and contributed to our Fundraising efforts over the past year.
As a Chapter we raised approximately $4,500. This total includes the monies raised each month at our Chapter meeting, with the Project Gift. This includes monies raised at the Yard sale in May, and the scrap aluminum contributed. Individual members also raised and saved money through work and payroll deduction and family and friends donations.
Second, we would like to Thank all the volunteers from Chapter T. Butch & Pat MacGregor, Ward & Phyllis Cossano, Bob & Peg Dexter, Ron & Becky Lees, Wayne Cossano, and Curt & I. We met at Spinx in Travelers Rest at 430AM and drove to Asheville to start working by 6am. We were there so early that we were first in line, behind the Ride for Kids Stars and lead Chapter. Pretty Cool!!! Really early!!!

Hello Chapter T,
It is that time of year again. The Pediatric Brian Tumor
Foundation's Ride for Kids in Asheville.
Location- Biltmore Square Mall, 800 Brevard Rd (NC191), Asheville NC 28806
Date - August 30, 2009
Registration is from 7a - 845a
Ride starts at 9am sharp, rain or shine
Chapter T has raised, about $1000 throughout the year, including the Yard
Sale. Great job!!! We also had a fundraiser with Denny's on August 1st. We
are expecting that check, any day now. Total raised was near $250. Every
member deserve a big pat on the back for all their efforts the past year to
raise money for this great cause!! We need to know how many riders will be
on Sunday, for disbursement of these funds evenly.
In addition, Robert (Ride for Kids Coordinator) is planning a volunteer
meeting on the Saturday before the ride, August 29th, at Coffee Pot on Hwy
25 @ 9am. We will get our instructions for the following morning.
Registration Desk, Greeter, Calculator Operator, etc . If you would like to
volunteer, please let me know ASAP. If you have already volunteered ,
please let me know your shirt size. Robert will bring those shirts Saturday
morning, if we have the sizes in advance.
So we need to know the following.
1. Will you be riding in the Ride for Kids on Sunday, 8/30??
2. Will you be volunteering?
3. If you will be volunteering, please tell me your T-shirt Size.
